I went to a school playground and detected for about 15 min till the kids hounded me to death and then I went to another school and the detector started going wacky right off the bat so I went home . Then I decided to try to pinpoint the problem so I took off the probe. still going wacko . then I switched from the 8 in coil to the stock coil and the problem went away. I will try detecting tomorrow with the stock coil for a while and if the problem dont come back the 8 in does go back.

Hello Stan,
I'LL second you on that notion. One does "evolve" and starts to understand and build up there confidence. Persistance has paid.
