Found My Oldest Patent Date

I headed to town and ran a few errands. After I finished I
headed to a near by tot lot at a nice park.

The oldest patent date I've found was on a huge iron safe at an old townsite. The top photo is all that was left of the buildings and was part of what had been the post office. The safe evidently was in the post office, but it was about 50 feet away from what was left of the building and the safe door was 10 feet or so from the safe. On the back of the safe was a tag with an 1845 patent date. Would have liked to brought the safe and door home but it was out in the woods and had to weigh 500 lbs or more:(. Did find a 1897 dime and an indian head penny near what was left of the building:)..

JB,You need a small compact tractor with a front loader.That safe is a great find and probably worth the trouble.

Top finds Tab, take a look at the Patent Photo i posted, from about 1870???.no dat that i can see on it, maybe from an old cartridge box,
