found my first ring whith M-6 today

today i found my first bonafied ring it was next to a oak tree 2" down it gave me a +24 just like a bottle top when i was digging it i could see it was round and shiny what a rush i decided to go thear after yesterday when i opened my trunk and a bag blew out and since a cop was thear i had to run after it and it blew to the same spot the park worker told me of so i figured this may be a sighn so i went back thear and thats whear it was the blowing bag stoped just short of the tree i found it under i also found a quarter and a nickle thear both blackened from a long time in the ground the ring is silver plated brass but im moving up the only other one i found was broke so at least i found a whole one now i need a sterling 925 wehather was great low 70 s no humidity hmmmm

Gunnar I have had some luck with silver rings this year....mine all are showing up in the dime range, good luck.

It's only going to get better Gunnar! Like Gregg said, the silver rings ring up like a dime or higher. I've found big silver rings that ring up as a quarter. Dig dig dig. And thank you for picking up the bag that blew away. You're helping give metal detectorists a better name. Good goin' Gunnar!!!

thanks nacy & greg for your info on silver rings showing up in the dime range your experiance is very helpfull to me and i always pick up trash wheather its in the ground or above , if only they could make a new pop can that cant lose its pull tab or biodegradible bottle tops things would be a bit better for us but reality is what it is if you want a garden then you will deal whith weeds, if you want to serv God you will have to resist the deval and if you want to find gold rings you will have to dig pull tabs & bottle tops

GREAT job Gunnar!!!!! Any kind of ring is very exciting to dig up.
Looks like you are learning more and more about your M6 and are doing very well in finding items. :clapping:

Nice job on the ring Gunnar! Did you hit up the park we were at last week? I'm sure there is more to be found there! I have only been out once since we went there and only picked up a bunch of clad at a softball field.
