Found my first Indian!

I was out Saturday with six of my hunting buddies at a park near my home and I scored my "FIRST" Indian cent a 1873 in great shape! I was using my ATPro and it was eight inches down.

Man, that coin is in great shape. Hope you find more.

Great condition. Congratulations on the find. Now go get some seated coins :)

N3TUF , nice going , love to find IH's. As they said that is good condition, lots of time the soil corrodes them terribly- and the green ones are really nice. Good Luck, CO

VERY nice...

nice shape

Congrats on a nice Indian. :twodetecting::cheers:

Congrats on a fairly early Injun; and in nice shape too !

That's an amazing Indian it doesn't even look like it was in the ground.
definitely wasn't in circulation for long before it was lost. Did you find it outside of an old bank?

Not only did you find a better date Indian but it was new when dropped. 1873 was a special year and some numismatists collect all U.S. coins dated 1873. Congrats!

Amazing condition! My first was from 1907.

A big congrats on finding your first Indian Cent - and a older one in great condition too ! :beers:
