Found my first IH penny on Salisbury...

1906 - really beat up and about half the thickness of what it's supposed to be, but where IH penny's are, there's bound to be old silver and old jewelry as well.

Still not enough sand movement to really have a major impact - have to keep watching for the next storm.

Ran into a guy named Dave using a DFX. I ran into him once before - retired and living near the beach. Said he found a platinum ring recently (same one you mentioned a week or so ago?) - and knows you as well. He's eagerly anticipating that first big storm as well.

Hope VA Beach is doing well by you.

Cubfan Penny looks pretty good for being in water at Salsbury beach. I was there late sat for a short time.NICE FIND Don Tyler

I've found more there than anywhere else so far so when I see any sand movement, that's where I try first.

I have a couple other favorite spots too so far, but haven't had alot of luck with older coins yet - I think most of that has to do with the lack of sand movement, but I'm sure some is just due to not being in quite the right place.

I'm heading to Mohegan Sun again this Saturday - hoping to gain back some of what I lost last time (and then some!!). Gotta pay for that backup detector somehow!
