Today I went out on a short hunt and found my first class ring. Its from La serria high school in carmichael Ca. Class of 1981. It has a name in it but im having trouble tracking down the owner cause I think the last name is most likely a maiden name. Any tips on how to track down the owner would be great. This will hopefully be my first ring return.

Contact the school's alumni association if they have one. They should be able to help. That's how I was able to return a ring I found.

http://www.zabasearch.com ...Free people finder...person would be @50 years old
.Check out school web site for reunion comity or alumni board

Found her for you. I sent you a PM with all the info I have. Oh yeah, if you get it returned...make sure you take some pictures of the ring and her with the return and post your story in the Good Deeds forum...

Classringfinder.com might be some help

Just got off the phone with the original owner. Thanks to Saltshaker. She was definitely cought off guard. I guess the ring was stolen from her a couple of years back. She didnt know what to think. Im mailing it back to her cause she doesn't live in my area any more. I asked her to send me a pic when she gets it. She was very grateful. This is my first return and its much more fulfilling than cashing the rings in. Cant wait to find more that im able to return. Thanks again for all the help.

Good job Spellman! and really cool how you involved the Forum on the assist...:clapping: Really something huh? Who would have thought a simple piece of metal would have this kind of effect on lots of different lives?

Thats awesome, Im glad I could help out and this is the first time I was able to help in a ring return. This is the second time I have read here that a ring was stolen and then lost but found by one of us, then returned. I think that it pretty crazy in itself. Either way, returning it was the right thing to do and you just made someones life better by fulfilling a missing gap. That is priceless and worth more than anything...I look forward to the day when I can return a ring to someone just to see the look on their face.

You were definitely involved in a ring return and helped bring a smile to to someone's day. Thanks again.

Its like my wife said when I found a classring from the class of 1958 and returned it to the 71 yr. old woman," you made her day". My wife says her family was of meager means and that her mother scrimped and saved to buy my wife her gold classring. She says knowing her mothers hard work and sacrifice to get her a ring that she would be extremely grateful for its return if she had lost it.
