Found my 1st War Nickel; 2nd one too!

Got the 17 incher for my CTX and the new harness so I strapped them both on and headed out to give them a try. I like the new harness, but it does seem to be a little hot...at least when its 95 degrees out anyway. It definitely distributes the weight of the machine and I was able to stick with the 17 incher for the entire day. As far as the 17 inch coil goes; what a beast. You can certainly cover some ground with it. It think the separation is pretty good also for such a large coil, but the area I was in is not very trashy. I also was able to pinpoint very well with it, so I think it's a keeper. I got into a little silver hot spot and then it dried up. I got the first war nickel, then on the next pass got the Merc and the CTR ring, and then about 15 feet further got the second war nickel. Later on in the day I went to another spot and picked up the second Sterling ring and an apothecary weight. I also got 6 wheats, one from 1916 and the other 5 all were in the 40s. Here's some pics:

Thanks. Yeah, me too. I especially like Buffalos, but don't find that many. Only two this year so far. Hmmmm. There's the common thread. I have 2 Vs, 2 Buffs and now 2 War nickels. Maybe they run in pairs!

Nice going Mike - you are making like Emeril Lagasse and KICKING IT UP A NOTCH
