Went for a short spin to the River late this afternoon, had the place all to myself. Another beautiful day, a little overcast 85 degrees and spring fed water 72 degrees. Not much clad , the rafters are all back in school so no deposits of clad. Worked a new area of the River and found 4 pieces of junk jewelry and one 14k white Gold earring and a tiny spoon charm that was not marked but looks like gold. Found allot of small targets, and of course lead weights. HH

LOOKING UP THE RIVER, THESE BIRDS LOOK COOL UNDER WATER CHASING FISH

THANKS FOR LOOKING, HH

but I still would be scared to hunt a river with evil lurking about. Maybe my idea will change once I move down your way.

No gators at this beach , water to cold, but 4 miles down stream another River ties into this one and it has plenty of Gators in it .The beach down there has warning signs for Gators. I hunt it now and then but it is hard on the neck, you keep looking over your shoulder for company.

Skully chest deep water you have to lean into the current to keep your footing. I hunt facing up stream makes it easier and safer. Not much to worry about drifting logs the head spring is just a quarter mile up stream. It takes about 4 hrs. to drift down the river around 41/2 to 5 miles.
