Found gold chain today

Found outside the fence of a ball field at a high school. 22 inches long, 1.25 ounce. The only marking I can see is 75 or maybe 751 on the clasp, don't know what it means. When I got the beep I looked at the spot to pinpoint and saw about one inch of the chain still above ground in the grass. The rest was below, entwined in the roots. Also found this large anchor button, the OLDS thing, and a some clad. My hunting buddy found several gold rings at this school, plus IH pennies, and two 2 cent pieces. And this is a newer school, who knows what was there before.

Jabbo...great find ! I think that marking is a European making for 18K. If it is, you did real GOOD !

What machine were you using ? Also....have you been to the beach lately ?

Hay Jabbo,

750 is the European marking for 18k gold.

If that's real 750 gold, you just paid for a new Tejon or Cortez with money left over.

If you were talking about Troy Ounces it's quite a bit more.

Sure hope it is.

HH,

Great Score Jabbo!

Excellent!

Congrats on finding a great spot!
