found gmz for 400 good deal? newbie

I was checking Kellyco and its 499$ new, so that sounds like a good bargain to me, but I am new as well.

$200.00 would be a bargain if it is in top order. $300.00 would be a fair price. Remember it is second hand. Any warranty on it?

Some dealers will sell discounted new at, or close to, that price, $400 is not a great buy. If they are asking $400, they will probably take $350 and even then it should be like new.

You don't intend to use it for coin hunting and the lake, I presume, and in that case I think if you're comfortable with a price that is less than suggested retail, then go for it. Make sure it is in decent condition. Also, make sure you have researched sites and know of gold nugget producing places to search. Good luck!

I've known some people who want a "nugget shooter" so they can hunt for gold jewelry and coins on beaches or other places. For that, it isn't the best choice, especially if you anticipate getting any silver halves or silver dollars, and many other higher-conductive targets.

If you are new to it all, start out in virgin ground. That GMZ is a wide open gold machine and learning it where man hasn't had a chance to leave behind iron debris would be an easier place to learn it's paces by far. Lot for the money but no discrimination at all. Once you get used to it, stuff won't throw you as bad.

thanks i will be total nugget hunting not much trash my partner has new mxt we are both new at known nugget spot
