Congratulations!!! That is a very nice looking ring. I suspect it was a big thrill seeing that sparkling stone and realizing it was a ring coming out of the ground.
If you dig all good signals from zinc penny through quarter, you will find silver rings. You are probably going to dig those signals anyway ... in hopes of finding coins. Gold rings are more difficult to find since they can signal anywhere from foil to zinc penny. However, a lot of them ID in the nickel range so if you dig nickels you will eventually find a gold ring too.
