Found Chunk of Machined Metal??? Help?

I found a hunk of metal today that hits a 99 on my AT Pro below ground and above after I dug it up. It's not magnetic. I can't figure it out.
I think it's silver but how can I be sure.

Hello and welcome.
I can only tell you that if you put money in ammonia, this is anger turning blue. You can also take it to a jewelry store or pawnshop where they needed to know.
a greeting

Get an acid test kit. Most come with silver and gold acid testers. If you're a seasoned hunter you'll be able to identify silver mostly just by looking at it and bouncing it in your hand. If it's a random piece of metal that doesn't seem to be part of jewelry or a coin, I doubt it's silver. Aluminum has the silvery color and is a good conductor too and it fooled me a lot when I first started hunting. GL and keep swinging
