Found this at an old homesite. The house and all buildings burned in a wheat fire many yrs ago. I dug at least 25lbs of steel but I also found this.

Wt about 75grms, flower decoration on both sides with vertical lines between, the top looks like it had a handle?, the edges have a disticnt line top and bottom like it may have been held inside a ring of?? the edges are around 3/16" thick and the top is around 3/8" thick, very heavy.

Domed top, shinny to some degree inside but very rough out side. I'm not sure if it's silver or pewter. I would have thought pewter would have melted??

I'm thinking tea pot lid or maybe pickle jar lid?????

Looks like the top to a coffee grinder

Still looking at photos on the net but haven't found anything like it. Closest so far has been a tabbaco box lid.
