Found around an Iowa Farmhouse built in 1926

I assume this is a button. It's the approximate size of a quarter. Seems to be brass. Pretty excited as it was my first ever find with my MX5.
 
i guess I'm wondering if it is a button. Here is the back.
 
It's probably a 20th century button because the back was steel. Earlier buttons had brass backs.
