oldranger

New member
while i was running the dog today

Its just an old foundation near a creek
on public land about 10 fr x 15 or so
not much left not sure what it was but
it is brick and old stones

The problem is about 60 yards away is
a High tension tower.. the lines run
just behind the site at whatever height
they are id guess 60-70 feet or so

Is there gonna be a problem ? Is the
ACE250 or GTI better? std coil or sniper

Ive never run into this before so Ill take
any and all adivse

Thurs and Fri are gonna be in the low 40s:clapping:

I wanna get out and :detecting:

Thanks as usual

The only way to know is to fire up the machine. If there is a problem keep reducing the sens. If you get to the lowest setting of sens then it's time to move on.

Me and a buddy were in a similar situation, his machine wouldn't work but I could get my 2500 to settle down and find things.

We hunted a place near some large radio transmitting towers. Within a mile or so. My Grand Master Hunter was nearly unusable even with sensitivity turned down. However my wife had not problem at all with her Ace 250 and as a result cleaned up that day because we were in a real good spot.

Sounds like a potentially good site but the towers that close will present a problem. Take both detectors and try them both. You may have to bump the sensitivity way down and fiddle with the frequency on the GTI. You'll just have to experiment.

Let me know where it is, I'll check it out, then I'll let you know what worked, um, works, I, I mean, what would work best... Good luck, let us know how you do.

:usaflag:I would think that the Ace would fare better. But bring both just to be sure. Old foundations are always promising. Good luck !!
