Found an old elementary school (now closed) and went hunt it early this morning. I am positive that no one has ever been :detecting: at this location before. Honestly, I found so much clad in a short period of time that I got tired of digging. Saved some for another day. Found a 1946S wheat penny and several late 60s clad (so i gotta believe there is some silver to be found) , a small car and a Marlboro pendant ?? Gonna be careful and keep this location a secret :nono: as I believe a few others in the area are getting info from some of my posts.... Thanks for looking and MERRY CHRISTMAS from down on the Bayou. CCH

A good example of the two layer theory EJ, clad on top and silver underneath, I think you are on to something there. Where did you say this place is?...... Really you are wise to not say too much on the forums, usually only 5% are here to chat, the other 95% are here to learn something........ sometimes where we hunt...........:ninja:

Those coins have been in the ground for a long time by there condition.
Nice dig keep that spot to yourself I think silver will be your next surprise !

Hey WTG EJ, Maybe you can save some for me LOL. KC aka floridason

Nice finds and congrats on finding the new place to hunt hope you find some silver there soon. Jimmie

Nice amount there. It's good to see someone still hunting. HH, Nancy

don't know about nobody else being there. i was wondering the same about the park i started in. i was just starting out and found clad everywhere. so much near the top i figure a kid with a toy detector should have found most of it, but there it was. then i talk to people walking around as i hunt and they're telling me they see hunters all the time. i finally ran into a woman who says she hunts here quite often. i'm left with the idea they don't know their machines or what the're doing. i'm just starting and learning and i'm finding all this clad. well anyway their loss is your gain and gain and gain. hope ya get down to silver. personally i like the star in the circle and the car. which is the real treasure. the pennies, nickel, dimes and quarters or the very rare circle w/ star and / or the car?

HH

Wideboby,
Thanks for your comments. The circle with the star is actually a Marlboro cigarette pendant or keychain which I thought was a pretty funny item to find at an elementary school. LOL. Getting cold down south. BURRRRRRR. Thanks to all for looking. CCH.
