Found another nice oldie...

This one kills two birds with one stone.
One, this is my first and only 1909 wheat...something I have wanted to find for a long time.
Just plain, no s, no VDB, but underneath that dirt the details are very sharp and clear and this phone pic again does not do it justice.
This thing looks real good under that dirt especially for a 107 year old coin, it goes in for an olive oil bath now and soon it will look even better.
Found in the same woods as that fantastic merc I found the other day, don't know why people bring new coins straight from the bank to this park and drop them but I ain't complaining.

Two, I have been dragging a couple of coin books around with me through most of my life and they are the only possessions I still have since my youthful days.
This hole has not been filled since I got this book about 1963.
Now it is...finally!.

What a great hobby!

I am happy for you. I hope someday we will hear about them other holes that need filled. I have my books at home. I would probably loose it if I carried it with me. Nice find... KEN
