I walked over to the Quik Star near me to get a bagel early this morning. I make it a habit to walk through the parking lots of several businesses when I go over.
I often find a coin or two, or something of interest.
This morning, while it was still dark, (still is at the moment), I found a lincoln penny with the face up.
These are lucky pennys, and I grab them.
One of the guys on the other forum told me to turn the other ones over, and leave them. But I turn them over in MY pocket.
Anyway, I was walking past a "Jo Mamas" restaurant, and in the dark, I saw a dark shape on the ground, realized it was a wallet.
I picked it up, and it was full of credit cards, etc.
No cash.
I was able to quickly find the owner, gave him a call at 0600. I know thats early, but if he was going to work, he'd want it back.
Anyhow, he said he'd stop by later after he got his kids off to school, etc.
So, I did a good thing, and yeah, I know, I will be "rewarded"
Haven't been yet for returning a valuable. I don't ask for anything, but it makes a guy wonder sometimes.
Anyhow, I know I'll have saved a working stiff a lot of time, and some expense by him not having to cancel cards, get a new license, etc.Happy Hunting, all.
