Found and lost,,,,

2 hours of hunting 26 coins, low amount because half of hunt was at forest preserve by my daughters new dentist. Well I had a nice 1920 wheatie escape because I did not have my treasure pouch. I usually keep a tennis ball tube in there which allows for very quick recovery. Had the wheatie and a few other coins escape the tube which was in my pocket..very disapointing....old coins have been few and far between for me....:veryangry:

I have found some wheaties....lacking in silver the wheaties will come for you. Mine are usually all in the 40's and 50's. I have some older .....not many that is why i was happy. Keep up the good work Gunnar I really enjoy your posts!

Hi DFX-Gregg, Sorry to hear about your loss. Larry and I use 35mm film plastic canisters to put our older coins in. Put a little water in there and you're good to go. Easy to carry in your pocket or pouch. Just a suggestion. Glad to see you're money count is on the rise. It's awesome the amount of coins one can find if they just go out there and look. We love the "clad" thing too. We need to go hit Quarter Heaven (local school) and fill our bags.

glad to hear from you thanks. I usually do not find anything near the class of finds you and larry dig up!:detecting: So I never usually have any problems like this. Now I really feel I finally need to get a little more organized also. Thanks for the tip!

Gregg, It all adds up! Believe me, we've had some aching muscles, but well worth it in the end. You keep finding those coins, etc. It's the excitement in the hunt and what a great way to pass the time. Not too many hobbies can give you FREE spending cash! You keep posting and thanks for the pics.
