Rob O Mighty

New member
Was hunting a very old park I had found a silver ring at.
Not sure how old this one is or what it is made of but its really cool. It has a Black onyx stone in the center.
Also found a pile of coins today.
Coin stabbing Awesome. Thanks again to Mud pup and Zeek.....

If anyone has any idea how old it migh be ect. please leave a comment?

Nice find Rob. Neat looking ring. Don't know about its age, but it appears it could be silver. Did it come out of the ground looking like that? HH jim tn

Thanks Jim.
I washed the dirt off it. It was around 5" down
came up as a solid 67 on my F-70. Didn't make any sense for a zinc to be down that deep so i dug it up. My eyes got big and I stuffed it in my pouch as fast as I could there were a few people in the park:chase:. Could wait to get home and look it over.
It looks like Black Onyx stone with a small braided rope around the base of the stone. and 6 grapes on both sides of the stone.

Thats a great find, but a tough call without seeing it..67 eh? could be...usually silver rings bang in hard like a dime 73 or Q, 84... but not always, depending on the orientation and if its got a filigree pattern...the last one I found was silver, and depending on how it was laying it would hit in dime or scratchy high 60's like yours...those little cheap aluminum rings sound just like a zinc 61-63. It sure appears to be silver, take it to your local jewelry store, you should get to know them anyway for when you find that big gold with diamonds and emeralds in it that I'm looking for! Yes, cladstabbin' is really fun, and the F70 is killer for this! Nice work with yours! :clapping:

Good work Rob O :clapping: I don't know about the ring. My wife tells me about the kind of jewelry I find. I don't have a clue??? It was a surprise find take it.
I think you are getting the hang of it now. It just gets better as time goes on. Just go out there to have fun and find some coins. You never know what might pop up in your searching????? Z
