Found an Irish 1P coin yesterday

Now some people on here may not believe that an Irish 1P coin is a big deal, but here in NE Wisconsin they gotta be pretty rare. I'll put it next to the Irish 1 pound coin that I found last year. The 1P coin is dated 1980 and was about 3 inches deep in a soccer field. The two coins, by the way, were in two different cities about 25 miles apart.

MrGee if you keep finding those Irish coins they 're not going to be very rare in your area any more. I found a 1942 Australian penny in my neck of the woods (central ohio) last year I thought that was kinda rare. That coin is a Whopper!! Hope you keep findin' the good stuff!!

Your Australian penny sounds like someones war souvenier (1942). Too bad for him - good for you.
