Found an iPhone 7 plus

Hello everyone,
Went detecting on a NC beach this past weekend and found the least amount of targets ever. I did find an iPhone 7 plus. The screen is cracked aND there's definitely water damage. It was at the low tide line and took about 10 minutes to recover since the waves kept filling the hole back in.
I was wondering if anyone ever had any luck selling phones in this condition.
Thank you for any comments.

Since the phone is damaged and most likely locked it sounds like a white elephant.
Not much value there except to the registered owner.
To bad you cant retrieve the owners phone number from it to return it.
The have no doubt replaced it by now.

It still has value. Clean it up and post it in one of the auction sites. Be honest tell them you found it in the ocean and its covered in sand. Some of the phones I have found in this condition actually will turn on once they are dry. People will buy them for parts.
