Found an important thing on Quattros and safaris

Trackerman

Well it may sound strange but i had allways left sensitivity to Auto on my Quattro big mistake. . But decided today to try a quarter in a plug i dug and in auto it wouldnt hit the quarter below about 4 to 5 inches. Now i decided to crank up the sensitivity and man what a difference.. I was hitten the quarter easilly 8 to 10 inches down on a plug with quarter. These machines are deep. Im using the 8 inch minelab coil and the machine still is deep as hell. I wont be using auto anymore. Lesson learned all the good stuff older coins are deeper in the ground. I had sens all the way up to 19 and brought it down to 12 and it still was hitten the quarter at 8 to 10 inches. Minelab has crazy depth. :yo:

I agree trackerman and learned that lesson with my Safari. They really are very deep machines! Ditch the auto! I usually run around 12 or 13 in the woods, the depth is great and the chatter is greatly reduced as well.

I'm not sure what you mean by cranking up the sensitivity. Auto alwas shows max on my machine, (20).but I drop it off to 15 or below most of the time and get better readirgs. Onus
