Found a watch !

I found this watch on one of my favorite South Carolina beaches last year.Where could I sell this very expensive watch? I have tried Ebay no luck. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Hi Sonny1965, I can't make out the brand of watch, could you post the details? I have a jeweler in Brisbane city OZ that will sell my finds on consignment! You need a jeweler in a busy location, with a good turn-over, and in a reasonably rich area of town. My jeweler will sell for 20%, however I give him a third of the sale price, I'm happy, he's happy, and we all make a profit. Hope this helps a little, HH regards Nugget.:detecting:

Hay Sonny It puts a sparkle to father time??? MickFin

Sonny, you might try Craig's List too, who knows? How much did you ask for the piece on e-bay and how do you know you were competitive?

Great find!!!

I have had it on Craig's-list and ebay. The watch retails for 4400.00 I have had it on Ebay and Craig's-list for 1850.00.I figure that s a fair price for it .I found it in a walkway coming out to the beach in a bout 3 inches of dry sand .That same morning i found a Naval academy ring which was returned and a silver wedding band. All in about 1.5 hours time.My day yet!

AWESOME!!!!

Yes, Sonny1965, these are some great ideas. I know from experience that you will do better trying to sell out right than turning your finds in for bulk gold or diamond value. Patience is the key here. I like the idea of having a good jeweler to deal with (on consignment only). Its amazing how much write up there is for jewelry. When we buy the the jewelry, its a-heck-of-a-lot more expensive than when you try & sell it.

Good Luck & HH
