Found a very special ring without a detector.

I've been looking for this ring for 30 years. Finally got it, and will never find another one.
Its my retirement gift from the company I worked for. some of you may recognize the logo on the sides.

Congrats on the retirement and the very nice ring. I'll be joining you on the other side in less than four months but since my employer is the Gov't of Canada, there is no way I'll be receiving anything that nice. Enjoy.

It's nice to see that in these days of corporate cut backs, that there are a few places that still value their employees. I'm afraid that after spending 30+ years at my present employment, I'd be lucky if they spelled my name right on my last check. They have me so pi$$ed at them right now because they won't use the phrase "Merry Christmas" because it may hurt someones feelings. We've even been told not to use the phrase "secret Santa" because that's not sensitive to everyones beliefs. Can you believe that? Disgusts me to no end. The biggest problem I have is that I'm not a "yes" man and I find it increasingly difficult to work for a company where no one has any nads anymore. Ask someone a question and they have to ask 10 other people for fear of telling you something incorrect. I've always been a fan of the statement....

"It's better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission and be denied."

Congrats again and I hope you'll be able to enjoy a long and healthy retirement.

Jim: Thats a very special 10pt you have there. Congratulations! With all your "tector" experience, I would put a string on it every time you wear it and tie it to the front bumper of your truck for safe keeping.

Very Nice:thumbup: Congratulations on your retirement, I wish you many years of good Detecting, and good health:thumbup:

Thats a great ring, I'd love one:lol: But I don't have 30 years to do it, I will however be out on my JD tomorrow, cutting the grass. I know its only a ride on mower, but it is a John Deere, and I have the hat to prove it:bouncy:

Nice loot and congrats again on the retirement. Leave the ring at home when you go surf hunting. Guess you know that, but just a hint!
