Got back my gold Bug from being on loan, i buried a dime at 8" and 10" and a nickle I noted my bliss was choking on it with disq turned up but with disq low it could get the 8" and 10" dimes but was breaking up a bit so when the Gold bug got hear i scanned the earea and found a staple next to the 8" dime i could not hear with the bliss removed it then i found a tiney peice of aluminum , and then a 22 slug no wonder but it goes to show how those small things can mess up a good detector , well then i tested the GB on the 8" dime and nickle and 10" dime in all metal could not even hear a wisper on the 8" dime so I grabbed a chunk of basalt and ground balanced to it , I have the standard gold bug with no manual ground balance now after balancing to the basalt i could get the 8" dime very well and even hear the 10" dime how about that I like this little machine ,
