Last night I was looking for parks in Conway, Arkie Land.
I got a list of parks and was finding them on a city map
and Goggle. I noticed that one park was between the high
school and a state college located there.

It ended up being about 42 miles to Conway from my house.
I talked to some city boys and assured them I would take
good care of their park. I could tell it is an old park and has
some big oak trees.

The tot lot is big and has loose wood chips. I dug all the tot lot
targets with my foot. I was finding a lot of coins, but that was
about it, until I got to the back of the tot lot. There is a raised
platform about four feet of the ground. It has a low safety fence
around three sides. It is hard to see two people lying down there.

Man TD..You killed em..good finds and thanks for sharing with us snow bound detectorist... we appreciate it...

Some of the coins look to have been in the ground for sometime. Obviously the jewelry finds are really icing on the cake. No idea why someone would be losing jewelry on a wooden platform...That was a pretty long drive from your home but it was worth it. The area looks to be pretty large and from today's finds would necessitate another visit. Congrats on the finds!

Hay pap,

The local boys were a city crew cleaning and doing maintenance on the park.
I have no problem relating to them because I'm just as full of it as they are.

Some of the coins were in the dirt. The dirt varied. Some of it ate the pennies
worse than other areas. I was lucky to get two of the wheaties that were not
eaten up.

The tot lot money was mostly flash money(money you can spend without cleaning)
The tot lot is probably hunted and it is fairly new. No old stuff there.

The park is old and offers several possible areas that older coins may be found.
I was hoping to get some silver coins. There has got to be some there.

I have resorted to looking farther away to find tot lots. The ones I've hunted haven't
had time to refill. Spring will speed that process up.
