Went back to the schoolhouse/womens' club place today and sniffed around some and found this smooth 1917 Merc. As mentioned before, I've had several folks tell me it's already been hunted and so far I know at least 3 different people have hunted the place. Anyways...found a crumb they missed. Real tuff place to hunt!
Drove 25mi down to the next little berg on biz but I'd eyeballed a private place last summer that I wanted to hunt so anytime I go to this town I drive by the place and low and behold someone was finally there so I pulled in and asked for permission and BINGO...!!!!!! The guy also has other properties and said he'd just scraped the top off one and may have exposed some old dirt...???? I'll try and get down there asap before the snow flies to do the one house anyways? Not a bad day even despite the rain.......
