Found a seated dime just 3" deep

in the woods today, 1877-S. The ID Edge indicated a dime about 3" deep, thought it was gonna be a Merc or a Rosie, man was I surprised. Then later a 6" deep IH, a 6" deep musket ball and an IH laying on top of the ground under the leaves, that was another surprise. Indian heads are 1867 & 1873 or 83. The woods would be a breeze if it wasn't for the thorns, gotta wear thick clothes. This wooded area is small, about 400 x 400 feet but will try it again.

Nice find..........hopefully get some some more greats finds there.
Those briars are rough I dealt with some today. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow..
