Found a 'rare' coin! :)

Used the Sea Hunter Mark II with a 10" x 14" coil. The extra size of coil sure helped cover ground quickly. Lots of nails but I did get on to a nice line of 100 yen coins in the dry sand. Like someone with BIG pockets walked down the beach dropping them just for me. :) Quite deep and they had been in the sand a while.

Sons were using their Ace 150's.
Elder son's finds in the green box, nice little silver bell, 135 yen in coins (around US$1.15), a Yamaha blank key.
Younger son's results in the black box at the bottom of the pic, 625 yen in coins (around US$5.40) - marble and shell included. :)

Me - 5,079 yen in coins (around US$44)
Three silver rings (after some electrolysis), silver pendant? above the rings.
1965 dime - certainly 'rare' at that beach, and always nice to find a non-Japanese coin. :)
Marlboro lighter.
Fish hook remover below the rings.

Here are some more pics - October 10th
Younger son found a silver ring, soon after he lost it again! Second time recently he's found and lost something - hopefully will learn (the hard way) before the third time! Anyway, photo to prove it, so better than a fishing story. :)
Watched part of a stunt kite competition also.

Great weather. Good family fun - oh, my wife joined us later in the morning and found her first couple of coins with one of the Ace's. Seemed to enjoy it. Should really buy her one and then we'd have a real team out there. ;)

HH.
