Found a patrotic token!

An 1863 and in great shape. I wonder if maybe I did the rim damage carrying it in my pouch with the other coins. It came from a private residence where I also found six Indian Head cents, a merc, six wheats and a cool pin that is shaped like a flag and says "We Do In Kalamazoo" with a celery stalk. Celery was a big crop, back when, around here. I gave the pin and a couple IH's to the home owners. They were thrilled and I have permission to go back and finish up. It was a really fun day and the owners were super. Got to love detecting!
Take care and HH - BF

PS I havn't posted in a while since I started a home project that keeps my computer time tied up.

I am not sure what they are worth. Token books will give a rarity rating - but not price. I just checked ebay and it looks like they are going for $4 to $20 depending on grade. There are quite a few on ebay, do a search for patriotic token. There must be hundred of obverse/reverse combinations.
Thanks - BF

Cool find:thumbup:

Yeah, the rim probably got scuffed up against the other Coins but hey, it's a Fantastic Find none the less! Glad the Home Owner's let you come back and that was very generous of you to give them a few Indians from there yard. Hope there is some Nice Silver waiting for you on your return visit. Good Luck and HH to you.
