Yesterday I went to a local Domain, this is the site of an old bandstand and military training area dating back to the 1860's,as it was raining on and off I detected around the base of the old trees and managed to pull out a few old pennys and a halfpenny, then got a good signal around 7" down and found the two silver coins, the sixpence is 1908 and the shilling1918,but the prize of the day was the old token dated 1857,although the condition is not the best it is one of the oldest coins I have ever found also found the modern $1 and $2 spendable coins.......jim
