Found a new spot!!!

Well I have been doing more research in my spare time than detecting. Long days of tough work. Well to get to the point I have found a sweet spot . I was very optimistic when I got there. Scanning the land I started finding lots of bullets. Mostly 9mm and .45 cal. Then a strong copper signal. From what I can tell its a large fragment of colonial copper. Sweet I thought this must be the place. Then another strong signal turns out to be a small washer I thought. I thought wrong , I started to clean it up . I know you cant see the date.....I can with my loop............1646 or 5 . Holy ^#%@&%$#!!!! Then I scanned around finding another IH dated 1902. All in all not bad for the Ghetto. 2.45 in clad. I cant wait to show that coin to someone. I know that its most likely foreign. Springfield was founded in the 1650s. How awesome is that. I recieved my hunt information from another detectorist. I then did more research and its starting to pay off. I dont care if the small coin is valueable or not. Its history that I can hold in my hand. I am so busy at work right now. I dont get much hunt time but I enjoy every second that I do get. Im sorry about the pics. I can be positive that that is dated 1646 or 5 for sure. I almost threw it away!!! Well I hope that everyone stays Happy while they Hunt!! Stay hydrated and safe.

Ps if anyone can help with ID of the washer type coin Its greatly appreciated!!

When it comes to old sites you have most of us beat. It is only a matter of time and you will have a mess of old coins. I'm glad I don't live on the west coast.

You may have found a area of old finds..:detecting:.
