FOUND A GUN, LOOT AND HAVE A QUESTION

TRIPLE-SSS

Hi everyone,
Went to the beach a couple days ago and had a pretty good day. Went wade fishing at high tide and caught some good keepers also. It got pretty hot in the middle of the day so I took a little snooze to rest up. I did some detecting in the evening at low tide and picked up a few goodies in the wet sand by the shore . I did hunt the dry sand also where I found most of the coins and the odd and ends that you find. I banked up the ring pretty bad with my shovel, it was about ten inched deep. It's a 925 silver ring. The necklace is real nice but not real.

My question is about some funky looking worms, look like tape worms about 3 to 4 inches long and red in color in the wet sand. Almost every time I dug in the wet sand, they were squirming around. There were a lot of folks with little kids playing in that sand . I was just wondering if anyone has seen these little critters and if anyone should be concerned about them. I didn't bring my camera with me but will next time and post them for everyone to see. The location that I am referring about is along the Texas coast.
HAPPY HUNTING!

Nice hunt! Keep the guns safety on.

Good days worth of loot!! Silver rings are always a welcome sight, even a little mangled. Congrats and thanx for posting!!

And thank them for the opportunity to allow people such as yourself to detect at so many producing areas....

They are sand worms and the fish love them and you can catch boatloads of fish with them. I use the plastic camo-sand worms and we refer to them as "fish crack" because once they get a bite on it's fish on every cast.
