Found a Gothic florin

I came across two new areas in our travels, one is a racecourse and the other, I suspect is an old military training ground. The total of the $1 and $2 dollar coins is $61,I am still trying to work out the date on the florin around the 1870's I think.unfortunatly we ran out of time and had to leave, but already making plans for a return trip..KJ

Sweet old silver !!!!!

Where were those coins minted at KJ? Congratulations and thanks for the great pictures.

Hi NebTrac,
New Zealand was the last country in the commonwealth to issue its own coinage, that happened in 1933,that explains why we get a lot of old english coins.it is great to find the modern $1 and $2 coins but I get a real buzz out of finding any old silver coins they just seem to tell a story especially the older very worn ones......KJ
