Hi Everybody,

I decided to do tot lots this morning. The first one, is one that I
have hunted some before.

I wanted to check it out for new drops and search the area under
that big oak tree.

Here

Thats a good find Td...........glad your hitting the bling !!!!!!!!!!!!

the "417" stamping on the item in question is a Karat mark for 10kt gold. Yes it is gold and its not fake.....it is 41.7 pure gold and the balance are alloys. In the case of 14kt gold it would be stamped either 14kt or 58.5 indicating its 58.5 pure gold and the balance alloys the same with 18kt which is 750 or 75 pure gold.

Yeah! There's this WWII vet who regularly comes into the Wally World where I work. One day he drove his shopping cart through the produce doors yelling "I gotta P" We kept telling him he had to go to the front behind the cash registers and finally he pulled a wooden "P" out of his shirt pocket. Nice finds and like the other poster, I really like that gold tester. That could save some trips to the jeweler. One of my last rings had 10k on it but did not pass the acid test and I would like to see what one of those electronic testers find on this ring.

Hay Pulltab,

The one I got is very reliable and test for gold plating and white gold.

You have to use an acid that stinks. But it is just three drops on a little hole.

I just don't smell it.

You need to keep it clean.

But it works great.

Here's a link on eBay of a power seller with Feedback: 99.8 % Positive

He is " igem " with a total of 3346 transactions. That's pretty good.

$154.97 with free shipping.

There are several types of gold testers. Most are cheaper. Some are

real expensive.

I like mine because I trust it.

Happy Hunting,

Tabdog

Until some one pointed it out to me.

But that isn't a P at all.

It's a broken golden R

Now, What Do You Know About That????

Happy Hunting,
