Found a Gold Ring

JEF

troll
I was hunting a school sports field, and found this woman's gold wedding band. It was about 6 or 7 inches down in the ground, so it had been there for a while. My wife was with me, and she was just saying that I never find anything good when she goes out with me.

Score! I once found a ring with my five year old daughter on my back. I think the family love is good luck.

It's interesting how the people who are not too interested in this hobby quickly take notice when they see a gold ring or a piece of jewellery being retrieved from the ground!!! Nice ring:thumbup:

Great find. I've never found anything gold yet, but I don't give up easily....:detecting:

I've asked her several times if she would like to try detecting, but she said that would rather just walk along with me for the exercise, and too see what I find.

Maybe now she will be good luck for you. Ken

That's because she's gonna take whatever diamond ring you find. Smart woman, lets you do the digging

May I ask which detector you used and how it ID'd?

Nice ring.

I was using my Makro Racer 2. It came in at 45 on the Racer. It was down about 6 or 7 inches in the ground. I was using the 3 tone mode, and had the gain set at 85. I almost didn't dig it, but because it was a little deeper, I decided to dig it just to see what it was. I was surprised when the gold ring popped out.
