Found a Gold Bug 29er. I know this machine has a cult following, but what do you all like better about this version?

I don't know how many are out there, but they seem to be pretty hard to find. I have used G2's for a while, and plan to test the side by side when the weather gets better. What have some of you 29er fans ntjiced about its performance?
Thanks

Where are you getting 29er from is that the software version on the machine? I had never heard of this machine till you posted this.

When Fisher first released the New Gold Bugs.....They had a bug, they were terrible on high conductors. Some reports of a silver dollar air tests at only 6 inches were made. They were the 2.9 version. They were recalled and re-worked and they are super hot machines!! I have one and have dug bullets and buttons at 12 inches with mine. On mine the 5x10 coil is just as deep as the 11" biaxial coil, and to me, better in iron and deeper than the F-75se or the T-2 se. I have been tempted to ger the ultimate 13 for it and see how deep it will go. You don't see many of the GBSE 29's for sale, that's because people know how good they are!!!!!

Thanks for clearing that up Mark!

my G2 is not that hot ....deeper than F-75se or T-2se have to see that

5X10 DD coil. I like it, and the performance, much better than the stock 11" BiAxial (DD) coil. I only use that and the 5" DD on my G2.
