Found a couple silver rings today...

I got up early this morning to take a ride to a beach I hadn't hunted since last year and it was terribly sanded in but its the beach I found my platinum ring on last year and I wanted to give it a shot... Found a lot of change in the wet sand and the 2 silver rings in the same area up in the sand and rocks...

The Excal didn't like the beach for whatever reason so I hunted in pin point and it seemed better then... I tried turning down the sensitivity but that wasn't the answer... Met a couple other hunters there who I met last year and we grabbed a couple soda's and talked metal detecting before they left and I continued on for another 30 minutes...

You know the one where all the snooty people take their pampered fury kids..........Any how, I have hunted that beach with my Excal and did not have any problems. Are you running your sensitivity around 11 o'clock on your dial? Where there any people on cell phones in the area?.......sometimes Excal does not like cellphone usuage in our areas. Also I have found that some security systems in the area run RF and that will put a lot of squawking into the Excal.

Yes and yes.... and no I wasn't at "dog" beach.... The noise was on the end of the swing and my settings are the settings Gulf Hunter shared with me...

I don't like sharing on the net where I hunt, too many lurkers :)

No PI today although next time I hit that beach I'll use the PI... Ain't no way my PI is going to collect dust like my land machine is lol... I actually liked using the Excal in pinpoint...

Yep to many lurkers..........

Were you picking up signals from your scoop on the end of your swing with the Excal?...........that often happens to me, but I also have a 12" coil on my machine.
