After hunting yesterday in a small town, it was back to gridding that same old neighborhood. Very Interesting day too. 77 coins (72 were pennies)= $1.42. However, some nice surprises came out.

Got this cool "LONDON TROLLY BUS, No56" made in England by "LESNEY". It was a challenge getting all the roots and dirt from the inside. How all the wheels remained intact is beyond me. Too bad the paint is flaking off.....

My favorite of all was this Gold (plated)Boxing Athletic Medallion, which was given to this gentleman in 1928. A real keepsake!

Excellent medallion, my congratulations to learn about its owner. Yours faithfully, Fox
P.S. Excuse for bad English.

John,

I'm very excited for you in find this great relic of the past (Boxing Medal)
I sent an e-mail to the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association reguarding information about information about this find. I think it would be wonderful if you could find out as much information about this as possible. I hope I can find something like this one day to add to my collection.:wiggle:

Another batch of great finds John. Keep em coming. Been to hot here for me to blister away. Supposed to cool off and then I'll get out and see if I can add to everyone's collections here. LOve that medallion. Be nice to know the history behind it. If only these finds could talk, the mysteries they could unveil

I was quite surprised when it popped out of the ground. At first I thought I found my first gold coin, which kinda made me weak at the knees. Then I looked at the edge, and realized it was gold filled. And, it was beside a piece of buried tinfoil and rusty bottle cap. It sure pays to remove the trash (time permitting)as the medallion was masked as junk.

John,

I received a return email today from Matt Mizerski of the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association and he stated that he had no idea about the Medal but told me to contact Taylor Gordon at 902 864 1252. I accidentally left my cellphone in my pants pocket and my wife washed it but I'm suppose to get my new one in the mail sometime today. If you don't try calling Taylor Gordon then I will try sometime tomorrow morning.

Good luck with the information hunt on this great find. :please:
