Found a cool button yesterday in my own backyard!

Hit a 172 on the meter and out popped this nice little flat button. It's about the size of a dime. No shank but it's pretty old, older than the house I rent here which is dated around the turn-of-the century. From what I understand, given the quick research on this button, it's a "Rich Gold Colour" flat button imported from Great Britain dating between 1810-1830's. I guess the US starting making many of their own buttons after that time period and imports slowed up considerably. I'm primarily a coin hunter but these are always cool to find as well. I will be posting up ALL the buttons I have found here at the end of the season. Quite a few different types for sure. HH George
