Found a Colonial Mill site....

Hiking along a small river about a mile into the woods. I'm sure it's never seen a detector, & it's not on any maps. Probably a saw mill, & it was built into the side of a hill & they created like a waterfall into a stone raceway, & it's all still intact. Now hopefully this mill will produce some nice coins like NJ-Don's did There's no junk metal at all on top of the ground which is a real good sign that it may have been abandoned around the Civil War or so. Maybe even earlier (dating the site w. the artifacts will be the fun part). Turn of the century mills have all kinds a junk on top of the ground. This one's early..HH, Bill

This is the first thing I saw on a rise above the stream. You can see the water coming down on the right.....

as the photo should show. The leaves might fill in a little more up in the tree's but that's no problem. There's no brush really, & looks like it could be easy detecting. I have never done well around mill sites, but I guess Don's coins have inspired me You have to think workers dropped something over the years. Hopefully their pay

But either one will do fine! Never been hunted so that grounds gutta be holding some goodies somewhere.

a "virgin site" by hunt time?
It sure is a promising looking spot.

The New England Colonial Shootout! Heck, those guys pocket like 10 grand per hunt don't they? I'd be happy to sacrifice a few relics & coins for that kinda cash

OK, but only if coins count more points than boolits and bootins.
