Found a Cellar Hole

Hello all!

I was out hiking and came across an area that peaked my curosity... Went over a hill and looked around and found what looks like a cellar hole (pictures coming soon). There is signed of old wash tub metal and a few broken jugs... Looks like depression era stuff... I only had a few mines as it was very dark... but I had a few quick swipes and it is a trash area... appreas to be iron everyhwere... a few solid hit, but pinpoining was not gonna be cut and dry...

I am using my BH LandStar and the stock coil... I just ordered the 4" coil thinking I should have one and that it would help on this site...

Any further suggestions/guidance? I plan on getting back to hunt it with the new coil next saturday... I'll post pictures of the site before then...

When using the 4" coil, it is slow going, but you will find the good stuff mixed in the trash much easier than with the 8" coil...just make sure you go slow, and overlap your swings...Very easy to skip ground when using the small coils...

HH,

You can see the hole... part of the foundation... I did find 2 nails... one looks old... the other newer... there is some rotting metal and that railing that is partially burried...

My 4" coil will arrive tomorrow and I plan on going back this weekend...

Part of the site items look newer... but no wood remains... the gound is like layers of fermenting forest... Iron appears everywhere with the few passes I had with my detector...
