The vaq is quite a machine. i was in my wifes grandmothers front yard taking alook around and fout 2 dimes 1 year short of being silver and a 1920 buffalo nickel. also a young girls ring. I think it might be silver but not sure. it has a u with an arrow through it and is a heart with hands holding it up.

Good find haven't seen a buffalo nickel in a long time. When I was in the service there was a Cpl. Gale saving buffalo nickels. He asked us to save them and he would give us a new nickel for the buffalo. He was an instructor in Communications and Electronics so every few months he had 30 to 40 new guys saving buffalo nickels for him. He had fruit jars full of buffalo nickels. We all thought he was crazy. I hope he made it through Vietnam? Thanks for the look into the past....Z
thanks. just found out today the ring is my mother in laws sister's. we were at a graduation party tonight and all her sisters were there. sure enough it was one of them. she put it on and it fit just like it used to.
