Found a bottle...anything special?

While out nuggetshooting in Nevada I ran across a bottle that looked old. But for all I know it could be from the 50's. It looks similar to a beer bottle, except the glass is multi-colored when you look from the right angle. Basically it looks like the dark brown glass has a little oil slick all over it. Only when viewed at the right angle though. Also, no name or anything. Just the numbers 26 and B on the bottom. Sounds familiar to anyone?

Hi Mag, the bottle's discolouration could be due to the type of ground it was discovered in, having an effect on the glass. The numbers and letter on the base could indicate the batch number the bottle which the bottle was manufactued and encased with other bottles, bit like our bottles today, which often have a batch number or letters. Sometimes, the letter could stand for the month it was originally packed. Can you get hold of the old bottle collecting books from the library? They may have more info on your type of bottles over there.
