Found a bomb ordnance pinback..how old is it...?

Dont know of any collar disk with that type pin, I see a damaged spot in the center I wonder if it was another type attachment broken off and that pin added later?

I have one like this that has a threaded post with a nut like fastener. That may have been the case on this one.

That is a WW1 era ordnance collar disc. It's possible the screw portion was cut off and the pin soldered on for easy application on uniform. Lots of new uniforms if it was depot made, did not come with the hole on the collar or overseas cap to apply the disk, so either the soldier poke a hole in the garment or had a pin attached to the disc. This was also done due to comfort as the nut/screw version would rub on the soldiers body causing discomfort.
