Hi, All:
Hit a football field/play ground from a school buily in the late 1800's. This field has been hunted to death. I got one of those solid in both directions, but "thin" signals. I was hunting in DE mode, sens at 75, disc. at 5 with 3H tones. I was listening for only the high tones. The signal was a nice high tone, but the confindence meter didn't even register. I started to walk away, but said to myself "your are trying to learn this machin, so you had better dig it." At six inches out poped the Barber dime. The leson learned became quite obvious. If it sounds good, dig it, regardless of what your meter reads. This applies for deep items. The gold ring rang in the high tone with a nickle reading of 31. It was in the grass roots. Also found a handfull of clad coins. Many were near three inches deep. Even though I had covered this field completely two years ago with several other machines, I was able to find a number of coins missed with my F-75.
Thanks for looking, and keep on diggin'
