Found a 2 Cent Piece!

Found this 2 cent piece right before dark sunday night. It was on some state land where and old farm used to be, under some old apple trees. There was a lot of brush growing but I found a few bare spots to check. It topped of a pretty good weekend of finds.

I think it was around 2-4 " deep. but cant be certain, I found it on the ground next to my pile of dirt after I dug down 6 inches or so.

Great find..I found one a few years ago here in Frankfort,KY...The state was moving an old log cabin and had lifted it up on platforms...I was metal detecting around the area where the fireplace was and out popped a 2-cent piece 1870..great condition,,,I almost wondered if was dropped between cracks in the floor because of its great condition...I also found in the same area a civil war token(looked like a Indian head penny) and several other coins...What a great hobby!

That is a great find! Congrats on it! I know you were stoked when you found it, I would have been, Beale.
