Found a 1919 "Buffalo" in the sand away from the shoreline...it was in poor condition, but I tried my best to restore some dignity to it
How did you get that buff cleaned up so nice?
Vinegar /salt solution;

2 tbsp per 1/2 -3/4 cup of white vinegar.

Soak for a few minutes; rinse thoroughly ; rub coin with fingers ...or if really "rusty" can use a Q-tip and gently swab the areas.

Repeat process as often as needed to clean the coin...I had to repeat this process about 12 times..this was a tough one.

Be sure to rinse thoroughly between soaks...salt needs to be removed completely.

For the copper showing through, I soak it for a few days in Palmolive green ...copper disappears!
