Found 9 Indians,1 wheat,2 Barber dimes,1 Barber Quarter,3 V Nickels and Gold Plated cuff link at the old Fair Grounds today.

That's some real nice finds Ray, you had a fantastic day. :super:

When you were digging those junk items, did you have a good idea before you dug that you could distinguish the sounds/FE-CO values not being a coin, or were digging everything to start to map the E-Tracs different signals?

I was trying to get some more buttons so was digging the shells and shotgun hulls but the silver was easy to tell and the nickels as well.

The indians IDed pretty well but the ground is very mineralized at this sight and makes them drop down lower than usual. Like 8-11 fe and 26-29 co.

Iron and nails are not an issue at all but those little aluminum caps pictured are a bear as they hit just under silver and sound to good,Ray.

Not pictured 1908 Dime and a very nice arrowhead that went to the landowners,Ray.
First let me congratulate you on some fine Diggs...............
After this statement I will present my question.........
I don't dig but maybe 1/4th the trash you have shown here & selectively ,,,maybe only 1/3rd of my finds are trash....
....................I see by your pics you have only dug a few tabs,,,,,,,,,,but .............allot of brass casings,,,,,,,,,and brass items in with the trash, maybe some lead, and screws and bent nails come with that as well.....................My question is ...........................If you are using just the stock coins program..........What determines when you are going to dig ? The Fer 10-16 ? The Fer 12----....
Or Con #'s.........or all by sound ???
I do not mind digging allot more trash for the return but I am curious if you have some specific Guidelines ???
Thanks,Dave McNickle

This sight is a private pasture and dates from 1880-1920 so I have been digging all that sounds good.If it were a park or similar I would be much more selective,Ray.
